DRIERITE - Anhydrous Calcium Sulfate
A dehydrating agent for use as a water absorbent in carbon combustions. Drierite is neutral, stable, constant in volume, inert except toward water, non-disintegrating, non-wetting, non-poisonous, non-corrosive, repeatedly regenerative, and low in cost. For the drying of gases, it has absorbing capacity of 10 to 14 per cent of its weight in water, and may be regenerated repeatedly by heating at 200-225°C for one to two hours. |
