HOT PLATE - Explosion Proof, Thermo Scientific
Designed to meet OSHA and other safety standards. This unit is the only electric hot plate UL listed for use in Class 1, Group D hazardous areas. Normal operating range is ambient to 220°C. A high limit thermostat, rated at 243°C, protects against overheating. Demand-type thermostat holds the 6 1⁄8 inch square, cast aluminum top plate to within ±2.5°C. Optional temperature monitoring may be accomplished by inserting a thermometer or thermocouple in the top plate well. Baked on enamel steel case is corrosion resistant and easy to clean. For additional safety, permanent installation is made possible with integral mounting lugs. A connection of 1⁄2 inch conduit and 18 inches of lead wire are provided for electrical hook-up, in accordance with UL requirements. Overall dimensions: 7 5⁄8 x 7 x 3 3⁄4 inches high. For operation on 120 volts, 50/60 Hz, AC, 5 amps, 600 watts. Supplied without Dial Thermometer which must be ordered separately.
